Nick Last

Director

Nick is a consultant Petroleum Engineer specialising in the analysis of dynamic well & reservoir data, and in understanding fluid flow in wells and pipelines.

He began his career with Schlumberger in the North Sea and SE Asia, before becoming an independent industry consultant in the mid 1990’s. Since then he has delivered consulting projects for numerous operators worldwide, and has become recognised as a subject matter expert in his field.

In 2012 Nick was one of the co-founders of Well Test Knowledge International (WTKI), a specialist well testing consultancy. Under the WTKI banner, he has taught multiple classes and has delivered numerous technical talks for the SPE and other industry groups.

Extending his expertise into the pipeline domain was a natural next step, which resulted in Nick joining the team that acquired FlowTran in 2016.

Nick’s experience of developing the Commingled Well Model (CWM), which WTKI uses extensively for its consulting projects, has been of great benefit in the re-development of the FlowTran software platform.

 
Nick has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from Imperial College, London.
